Janul was born in the Black Country & her home is a narrowboat on the Grand Union Canal, a base from which she tours the UK with her two trade tugs called Storm and Pirate.

They can often be seen touring the UK - look out for them
on the UK Waterways!

Canalsongs

Janul is also a singer-songwriter whose work crosses many genres.

Her main work as an author is in trading her canal-based merchandise, but in promotion of these products she has developed "Canalsongs" (click here for the Canalsongs site ) , a folk-based delivery of modern day songs about what it's really like to live and work on the UK waterways.

Janul has appeared in 2011 at canal festivals including Boxmoor (prev Wendover) & Braunston.

She is often seen at Folk Festivals around the UK.
